Zilch the Storyteller

My favorite show at the Renaissance Festival this past weekend was Zilch the Storyteller. He tells Fairy Tales and Shakesperean tales in fractured English...exchanging the first letter in one word with the first letter in the next. Here is telling the tragic story of "Jomeo and Ruliet"...remember, Jomeo was a "beenage toy."

David's favorite show at the Renaissance Festival is London Broil...which is a juggling troup that is made up of Duncan (love the name), Louie and Matt. They are tons of fun to watch and look like they are having a wonderful time doing their show.

Here they are during their "Blades of Fury" ending.

Here's a picture of David in downtown Wilson during the Whirligig Festival.

Who knew?

Whirligigs in a Field

On November 6th we went out to Wilson to check out the commute in case David accepted a job out there. Low and behold we stumbled across Wilson's 1st Annual Whirligig Festival. It turns out that is was started because of a local named Vollis Simpson who makes huge Whirligigs out of scrap metal. We got directions to his field and came across it just off the road. Here's a picture of the field!
